5.1 Introduction

On commencement you will be sent various information about the steps that need to be taken to set up and operate a Music Lessons Academy business.

It is important that you familiarise yourself with that information to ensure that you are able to get your Music Lessons Academy franchise up and running as soon as possible.

5.2 Business Software

All Music Lessons Academy franchise partners are required to use the following business software:

Teachworks - Managed by head office

FUNCTION : Scheduling & Invoicing software, teacher management, student management.

FEE  $30USD + $0.05 for every scheduled lesson – charged monthly to the franchise partner by head office

QuickBooks
FUNCTION : Financial recordkeeping

FEE  Essentials- $35/month
to be paid by the franchise partner to QuickBooks

Active Campaign

FUNCTION : CRM – Customer Relationship Manager.

FEE  $20 per month to be paid by the franchise partner to ActiveCampaign

PrivateEmail

FUNCTION : Cloud based email

FEE  Paid by Head Office

Google Sheets

FUNCTION : Tracking KPIs

FEE FREE

Stripe:

FUNCTION : Credit card payment processor

FEE  2% fee on all transactions to be paid by the franchise partner to QuickBooks

Franchise partners will be trained in the use of the above software.
5.3 Registering a Business Name

Each Music Lessons Academy franchise partner is designated a permitted business name, which corresponds with their marketing area.

If you are unsure as to what business name you should register, or if you would like to change your business name, you should contact Music Lessons Academy Head Office. 

Registering the business name is compulsory and must be done before the business starts trading. The way that the business is registered will differ slightly depending on your state or territory.

5.4 Induction

All franchise partners are required to attend an induction training, where they will be provided with training in relation to key aspects of setting up and running a Music Lessons Academy business.

Induction training is conducted at Head Office or at a location determined by Music Lessons Academy.

The cost of training will be covered by the Franchisor however franchise partners will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the induction. 

Induction training is held as required and you must book in advance to attend. Once you enter into your Agreement with Music Lessons Academy, you will be provided with further information regarding the available times for attending induction.

You will also attend other training as specified by Music Lessons Academy.
